Actively involving yourself in recruitment is contingent on your belief that the current government policy is reasonable, because without that, it would mean you're helping aid the process of innocent young men being placed in the line of fire for no reason. However, playing a concert for the troops and boosting their moral makes sense to everyone, regardless of how they feel politically, because even if you believe the troops are dying in vain, they especially deserve a good Slayer concert on their way out. |

I donno what to think about people playing shows for troops or visiting them, I haven't thought about that one long enough to actually come up with any opinion one way or the other. Right now I can't think of any particular pro or con that would swing me one way or the other...pretty neutral on that issue. I personally wouldn't jump at such an offer, but don't care if others do. And what ShadowSD said was pretty right on. |
