I doubt anyone has heard this... but yes, its so fucking good. They have totally outdone themselves in terms of "Epicocity". so many layers and things going on at once... i cant even comprehend it most of the time. it creates a whole new atmosphere that has yet to be heard by this band. its not the traditional medieval/fantasy atmosphere (although they are still babbling on about kings and dragons and shit)... its just that feeling has totally changed for the better. the production is very tight and the musicianship, as always, is above average. although this EP only has one song that appears on the full length that is due out this fall, you can definitely tell that the album is going to be their most epic, and best all around effort to date. instead of Luca Turilli's nigh-homosexual, nerdy voice rambling about some bullshit that you wont care about (because his voice is REALLY geeky and it could make the most serious monologue into a side-splitting comedy), you now have Christopher Lee imperatively talking about kings and stuff. just so you can get a picture of exactly how epic this new material is... take the Lord of the Rings trilogy, every Star Wars soundtrack, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, the Neverending Story, Conan the Barbarian, and umm... Chariots of Fire by Vangelis... mix them all together and you might come close to being as epic as this new Rhapsody. sooooooooooooooo fucking good. oh and the album cover for this is HILARIOUS... im so buying a shirt of it.
