Does anyone own one of these things? I've often said that I would "never get one of those", but really it is that I have never seen one that I would want to use. I've been considering getting something lately cause of running mostly. I would love a watch that was small, light weight, and I could get some stats off it. I know that it wouldn't replace my phone for things, but I currently run 5+ miles with a huge ass phone on my arm. It can't look at it while running so I never have any idea how far I've gone until I get done or stop.

If I could make my own watch, I would run mapmyrun app, spotify, and then I would just get BT headphones for music. It would also need a heart rate monitor. Only problem with all this is that this:

If apple comes out with a phone using that... then they might have a weiner.

waiting for one that has a camera so I can take wrist selfies while it looks like I'm just checking the time

I ran 11 miles yesterday thinking about this... I wonder if I would need a new cell plan. The apple watch will probably not be killer until v3.

Ask Wren. He's pretty into those.

the fitbit seemed fairly primitive, but the sleep tracking was cool/weird.

pretty soon with VR headsets, smart wearables, and sex bots, we can just stay inside. all we need the back to the future pizza hut oven & beer pills.

I was thinking about the VR thing and thinking that it's going to be much cheaper to make us see things in the real world that are just over-layed on our eyes that actually putting LED screens everywhere.

I have a Garmin GPS, the 62st I think it is.

I use it on my boat and for ice fishing. I really wouldn't need it on my wrist since I don't run.

@rev: if apple made a wristband that measured how fast you beat off with heart rate and blood pressure tracking, would you buy the 3rd version of it?

the apple watch looks like it was designed for 4 year olds.
