Anne, bring the stuff you released to complete our trade, if you don't mind.

it's too bad the first band started showed up late and took their sweet time setting up, making them start 45 mins late. Tip to promotoers, a band scheduled to start at a certain time needs to start at that time, or else get their play time cut out. My band was ready to go way in advance, yet because of the first band, our set was cut short. It's too bad. Keep the scene alive by being more professional.

Joe, I didn't see your post before I left and spaced out about the releases. Shit. I think the next time I'll be in Boston might be the 22nd for the Raising Kubrick show. DO you want to wait until then or do you want me to send that your way?

Hey Anne, I will be at your shop around 5:30 and then after that I am going to the Choppin' Block show, so I could bring Joe the CDs that you owe him.

yeah, quite a display of inefficiency. we loaded up at 8, the first band didnt go on til fucking 10, and our set got cut. as amazing as they were, they shouldnt have gotten to play.

I don't think Joe realized what time we got there. He arrived at 9:30, had some car problems.

Anyways, next time it'd be nice if the guy putting on the show came on time. I mean, u book a show but then show up late and screw over some of the bands. How much more unprofessional can u get? Well it's nice to know how his shows are run. Disorganized and without any skill or determination. If u like it the way it is, keep going down the same path you are. A dead end.

Is that you Darren???
I think Joe's shows are pretty sweet for the most part. Take into consideration that it was Adolf Satan. At least Pillory wasn't upstaged by Lee Marshell!

This is the first show that i have ever been at of Joe's that hasn't run smoothly, and its not his fault that Adolf Satan was late showing up, it just happened that he was late too. Don't take this as a precedent of Joe's shows, he is one of the only people in this "scene" that set up good shows with good bands. Come to another show and you'll see that this was not the way his shows are run...

I didn't cut your set short, you got a 30 minute set and played for about 35. I did cut Adolf Satan's set really short though.

You're right Joe, we played for 30 minutes. That was right after you told me Adolph was playing for 2 more songs during the last song they played, and told me we would be able to play for 45. I don't really give a shit either way, but own your mistakes. If you'd said 30, we would have rearranged our set as we were looking forward to playing those next couple songs for people all night.

By the way, Adolph Satan WAS genius. What's the background on those guys?

I told you 30 minutes when I said Adolf Satan had 2 songs left.
Every band ended up doing 30 minutes, except Kevorkian's Angels who did about 35 because of an encore.
How I always do Block shows (except in this case and the show on 6-26) is the first 3 bands do 30 minutes and the last 2 do 40-45, so even if the show had started on time (which I realize is my fault, but it was out of my hands) you guys would still have only had a half hour.

Adolf Satan is 2 members of Anal Cunt, plus Nick Kevorkian on bass and Larry Lifeless (Kilslug and Upside Down Cross vocalist) on vocals

The show started late, primarily because of me being late due to transportation problems.

Adolf Satan opened up, the vocals kept cutting out, but they played a good set considering they haven't played in a while. Did Josh ever get bailed out?

Pillory was up next and were fucking sick. I liked them much better this time then at the all asia cafe. The singer's voice faultered a little towards the end of the set at All Asia, but this time he was solid through the gig.

Laceration from NYC played third and were wicked pissa and mad phat all at the same time. Total spastic death/grind, I am definately going to try to bring these guys back again.

Paranoid co-headlined the gig with their take on southern/stoner rock metal. I really dig these guys, though they were sort of the oddball on this gig but they seemed to go over pretty well with the crowd.

Kevorkian's Angels headlined and played some new songs and a cover by Cream, which made me weep. I don't even remember what they played anymore, but it was a good set. Unfortunately members of the dropkick murphys came in and started attacking people, including Stephanie. Then afterwards they were acting like total fags outside, I wish I had brought my mace.

all bullshit aside, Adolf Satan is currently my local favorite band. the homeless vocalist is WAY ahead of the times. absolutely stunning.

haha, made me weep. Yeah Joe, looks like this was the show to piss Joe off. All kidding aside, all the bands killed, thanks for setting it up. Sorry about getting there late, shit happens.

Yeah, eventually. They jacked it up $800 so I had to call my rich uncle to come get me.

Are you serious? What happened?

Thanks for letting us play.
Jeez, I didn't think we started THAT late. Us and Kevorkian's share a bass player and we played first and they played last and we were borrowing a bunch of their equipment because we have, uh, some problems. But it sounds like everything went off as it should have anyways.
I heard Larry and Nate took off early. Did anyone in Adolf stay to get paid? We are seriously the most professional band ever.

BTW, Larry is actually not homeless, believe it or not.
