____________________________________ [Jun 24,2004 2:59am - MyDeadDoll ""] i've got adaware too and it doesn't work all that great. but, it helps. |
_______________________________ [Jun 24,2004 8:06am - hoser ""] use it in conjunction with spybot and it works great. Try this: Go to START, then SEARCH, (on CDRIVE dummies), type in "Anyuser", and see what comes up...delete all that comes up, they are shitty cookies that you don't want. Do the same thing but typing "Gator", then try it with "Fastclick", then try it with "Doubleclick" this will help you manually remove the asshole cookies. |
______________________________________ [Jun 24,2004 8:14am - the_reverend ""] um.. hoser... cookies can't actually do anything. |

_______________________________________ [Jun 25,2004 12:43am - the_reverend ""] hoser said:They clog up yer directory and slow shit down...to me..that's doing something. cookies only have limited abilities to do that and with broadban, you don't really notice it. the largest cokies are are 2Kb. cookies are sent over with your request. but sending 2K isn't really much at all. |
____________________________________ [Jan 14,2017 11:39am - susurrate ""] i have an acer aspire v nitro 17 that i have had for about 2 years but never took it out of the box. booted it up today, ran the stupid windows 10 upgrade (it was running windows 8... i'll eventually make another boot disc and go back to 7 or run linux) and when all that was done.... mind you this is a NEW pc never used (not refurb), and come to see that the microsoft edge app is infected to the teeth with adware/hijackers. i install mozilla real quick and that gets infected immediately as well. fuck. i run bitdefender, then malwarebytes adware cleaner, and now running hitman pro.... hundreds and hundreds of malware/adware items. has anyone ever heard of any bullshit like this right out of the box? i'm used to have bloatware and junk included but wow. |
______________________________________ [Jan 14,2017 9:17pm - the_reverend ""] What does Windows defender do? That is almost all I use now. |
____________________________________ [Jan 14,2017 10:28pm - susurrate ""] it sort of works. to be safe, running malwarebytes adware cleaner and hitman pro after windows defender scan 1x/week is a good idea. |
_______________________________________ [Jan 16,2017 11:04am - the_reverend ""] idk... I would probably just wipe out and restart. |
____________________________________ [Jan 16,2017 11:26am - susurrate ""] that's the route i took. downloaded some stock drivers after i reinstalled the OS and it's working well now. |
