Isn't bass the big guitar that you can't hear?
only if you do it wrong
a wise old man (it was KPANZER) once said to me, "its really easy to be a competent bass player in a metal band, but it's really hard to be an outstanding one... " i think that pretty much sums it up. most bass players in this kind of music are just guitar players that didn't make the first round draft pick. (although i always liked ross in hirudinea) anyway, IMHO its a tie between the aforementioned KPANZER and the mighty greg dellaria, those guys are like my cool uncles of slappin the bass. in b4 "theyre my friends/in my bands". DONT CARE STILL APPLIES. (plus keith is really only my friend some of the time ;)) also id make it a three way tie with that guy that played in throwing shrapnel but i dont remember his name. also, excruciating slow death to anyone that calls it an "IDIOT STICK". also, when is someone gonna make a thread of "who is the best guy that plays both bass and drums tolerably well but makes up for it in handsomeness in new england" so i can win something? :(
