Looking for a solid drummer that can play off-time beats n' rolls. Metal influences are Black Sabbath, Budgie, Kyuss, Tool, Pantera, Down, etc. The stuff I've been writing is a combo of that Metal style w/ Rock influences like early David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory and Man Who Sold The World [especially She Shook Me Cold]), T. Rex, The Beatles (Revolver, White Album), Led Zeppelin, The Who. Also, Punk bands like Rudimentary Peni and Icons of Filth are old favorites. I just turned 30, so I grew up during the Alt. Rock wave (i.e. Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden) and you can hear it in my material. Besides the straight up, heavy as fuck, I wanna punch a whole in the wall tunes, I write alot of light to dark type songs.. meaning mellow verses turned heavy, yet melodic, choruses (or vice versa). I got a decent voice and know how to harmonize, which would be the ideal scenario (if ya do backups). I play alot in drop C (same as Drop D, but a step down), Standard and a half step down. I also like to fuck around with Open tunings, especially Open G, as well as completely random ones. If you got anything recorded w/ you playing, send me something. All my songs are in my head, but I can make a crude recording of some of my better tunes. With a drummer to bounce ideas off of and collaborate with, we'd be dangerous!
