At least more frequently than you have been throughout the years? I know all about the industry issues and have heard a little about some turmoil within the band but, I still wonder why you guys can't pull it together and do some more stuff. I'm not a huge "metal fan"...more into rock and "punk" (Stooges, Black Flag, Thin Lizzy, Replacements, Type O, Germs, Damned etc etc..) but I don't listen to you guys and think "metal". I think anybody with a good set of ears can hear that there's something else going on with those tunes. Honestly I think that might have been another reason that things didn't get to the next level. When hearing a new a band or even meeting a new person people tend to gravitate towards the things that they can figure out quickly and easily. I know all about the industry issues and have heard a little about some turmoil within the band but, I still wonder why you guys can't pull it together and do some more stuff. 3 albums, 1 EP, 1 video, 2 small-scale US tours, 3 full-scale European tours... 10 years is 10 years, unless you count the garage years, then add 3 more. So after more than a decade of 'almost there' we moved on and gave some other things a shot. BUT we all knew Wargasm was our real shot. It was great for us, even with all the bullshit, and it's great to know that people are still into it 16 years after we split. Our lives and schedules are so different it's impossible to synchronize and do anything worthy of having our name on it. Wives & kids, careers, other bands, etc etc. People have been dogging us to do another record, but us just getting together to write tunes is pretty impossible, never mind recording them. We pop up occasionally in tribute bands, but that's easy as we know the tunes already so there are minimal rehearsals and they don't need to be taken as seriously by us as a new Wargasm project would. Rich is vurrently touring with Josh Groban (!) running ProTools for the show and occasionally playing guitar and/or mandolin on stage with him.. no I am not making that up. Barry is in Mob Hit and Gozu. Gozu's album 'Locust Season' is killer. But again, it's not Wargasm. I'm doing Robot Monster Army, which is purely a studio thing, 1st album was released in '09 and 2nd one is in the mixing stages. It's on iTunes, on reverbnation and bandcamp. There was no 'inner turmoil' in the band, btw Cheers |
