These days forget it. If something similar happened now like it did back in the 30's and 40's do I think we would fight? Yes, but at a higher cost do to no balls these days. These days we would fight for our Ipods, Xboxes and internetz. Back then many nations fought the war for just basic civil liberties. |

Ok, so the point that you're making is obvious; BUT, it's really hard to say that a generation wouldn't fight for basic civil liberties.. because we all HAVE basic civil liberties. The reason that they fought for them is because we didn't have them. I'm not downplaying what that generation did... the world would be a much darker place if they hadn't made such a big sacrifice. I'm just saying that you can't tell what someone will do without civil liberties until you take them away. |
