that is actually really smart. you would just need a sphincter at the bottom for this anal beads approach to generating electricity.

MSD on /b/ ?

Unpossible!

I would think if there was a convener thing like this already constructed, you would just be using a small portion of the momentum already going to push the balls into the water down below.

unless the balls of air fill up at the bottom, you'll just have equal force on each side.

wrong wrong wrong. this is simulating convection currents through buoyancy. like I said, you would need a sphincter at the bottom of this continuous anal bead.

this would work actually if u had a ratcheting gears and the "air bubbles" collected water until the apex. but it would be using the waves pretty much like a hydro dam

1.) this would generate little electricity
2.) they already have machines that capture the energy from waves off the coast of England and it powers many, many homes
3.) Geothermal energy is where the future is, yet not enough funding is thrown at it
4.) the 'crisis' is only engineered by the oil companies when in reality we could have found a legit replacement 20 years ago had proper funding and research gone to it

5.) only nuclear fusion is real.
As noted in back to the future with his "mr. fusion" attached to the top of the car.
Also as noted in SimCity 2000. I believe they allow that technology in 2015. City Copter 1 reporting heavy traffic or terrorist

or you could just use a tank instead of the ocean and only submerge the right side .

not true. it's all about gearing.

gearing, scale and the sphincter for the anal beads.

So you're saying you'd make a large scale version of this contraption when there's already more efficient ways to obtain energy with tidal water?
 ______________________________________
[Oct 20,2010 1:15am - the_reverend ""]
Bring a balloon to the bottom of the sea and let it go, it will raise insanely fast. Problem is that the sphincter to transition from air to water wouldtake more power than this could produce over all.

And the reason is that the whole air shaft is one huge air filled ball. Compare the volume.

There's no such thing. It's a myth.

We do not deny the concept; but when being compared to other methods, this is quite unfeasible. *adjusts monocle* you see, we already have means of producing energy more effiecntly while using water. Look at England, for example. *adjusts suspenders*
http://www.wavehub.co.uk/
You see, when presented with the evidence, the solution presents itself.
There are other means of unlimited energy that we should look more into but we aren't due to lack of resources. *takes an old, used marker out of his front pocket and grabs a piece of paper*
Write to your congressman. Tell them you need reasons why we aren't looking more into it. *puts pen down* it's time to take action, kids, time to take action. Especially you, little Aaron. Times going down the drain. Now go my little padawans! Go conquer the energy crisis! Class dismissed!
