CABLE VS DSL FOR XBOXLIVE PLEASE HELP[views:1715][posts:10]______________________________________ [Aug 18,2010 3:55pm - goatcatalyst ""] right now i have comcast cable internet i just switched cable to direct tv cuz there cheaper and have more HD but they only offer internet connection with at&t dsl i was lookin at the dsl package of elite 6.0(there fastest) for $20 while if i kept comcast internet connection only, its $65!!!! so heres my question am i going to hate my life and have a nervous breakdown with dsl 6.0 connection due to lag and disconnections so much that $45 extra will be worth it to stay with comcast cable internet??? should i follow the old saying "if its not broke, dont fix it" please help me im computer dumb xbox live is all i use my computer for besides sport scores, and movie times. im old so i dont know or use the computer that much for anything else |

| _______________________________________ [Aug 18,2010 4:13pm - Alexecutioner ""] while i have never used DSL through AT&T i can tell you that it probably wont match up to your current cable internet from comcast. that being said, i do have a friend who uses a similar service through verizon, and while it runs pretty good most of the time it has its issues. if someone is using his computer for the internet while he is playing CoD he pretty much gets fucked, even more so if someone is watching a youtube video, it causes a lot of lag. i dont know if its worth spending the extra money but maybe its worth a shot to find out and go back to the old way if it doesnt work. doesnt sound like you would be using the internet a lot while you are actually playing on xbox live unless you have a roommate or buddy that would be using your computer at the same time. |
