The new bluetooth mouse is indeed nice. It just doesn't have seperate buttons. I hate pressing the same button in a different place to hit a different button. Messing with GarageBand is fun for a couple minutes. The photo/video programs are designed well. Photoshop is the same as Windows though. The benefit you get with the Mac is the amazing screen/color technology. The screen is the only good thing about it. But again, if the backlight dies, I have to send it away to get it fixed. Really, there's no other way to say it, this is the flaming homosexual of computers. I don't hate it, it's just different, and I'd rather work with a PC. This is what MA state taxes bought. I was talking to the CIO today and he said we could have gotten 300 new PCs or 60 new Macs. Since Macs switched to Intel the two platforms have converged, and apparently we can spontaneously support Macs with no extra training or raises in pay. We're replacing the art and music labs with Macs. They have perfectly functioning dual-core PCs now though, with software that does the job extremely well as it is. To me there was absolutely no reason to make the switch, but the budget managers didn't listen, and here they are.
