Can I use my characters from my youth days of playing? All mapped out pretty on graph paper in a manilla folder...
Sure, in theory, as long as I get a look at it first. So far most errybody's low-level though, so that'd prolly have to wait until later.
I'm interested but I have so little free time.
Hey, being a pretentious cocksmooch is a full-time job, I get it. LOL
DYA please tell me you relax the rules a bit and don't make the players do checks for everything.
Yeah and no. I mean, it's 1e so there's barely checks for any actions outside of combat and thief skills, but I use simple ability checks for most shit. My goal is to get things moving quickly, but I'm no softy - I'm a right bastard sometimes, haha. Dice rolls are all on the table, and I don't fudge shit.
i play but i play 3.5E but I have been looking for a new campaign. I am somewhat interested, I will know for sure soon my old DM is deciding whether to toss our current campaign or not.
Cool, bro. There's not much to learn going from 3e to old-school, but it can be a bit of a culture shock. There aren't really skills per se (I am thinking about throwing in some kind of background-based secondary skill system), and the first couple of levels are brutal unless you're smart, lucky, and know when to run. Mostly it's just D&D, though. (Not sure the same can be said for this 4e shit.). Like I said, feel free to drop in and try it out - no worries if it's not the system for you, but you might be surprised.
