The real to real is made by teac, basic functions, record in/out, tape in, line in/out, all that jazz, it also has decibal monitors so you know when your in the red I have no use for it anymore becuase Im recording digital with cool edit pro 2k, It expands possibilities, plus I dont have to use my phase linear, noise reduction, and dynamic expression unit. Which Im also thinking about selling but havnt decided. :cd:

what size tape? how many tracks how are the heads?. might be useful to mix down to and analogize digital sound. cool edit sucks.

well the diameter it can play tapes 8" or ten" but the width of the tape is about an inch, I think it only records one track at a time, it isnt anything amazing. Its a real to real man thats about all I know Ive had it for a while, and as far as Im concerned cool edit is good becuase its not overly complicated becuase Im just getting into digital recording, I have cake walk pro audio 8 and acid pro, out of the three I prefer cool edit pro 2k, If I had the money for protools I would be using that but I dont. Anyhow if I feel like recoriding a demo I know people at art institute in Boston who could find me some studio time, that or houndstooth in manchester.
