Goddamit.

Just fucking hunt.

Go out into the street, find a queer, kill it and it.

~ Your Conscience, William Henry Chesterton III

BTW, doesn't Sarah Palin's voice remind you of the mom from Bobby's World and most female characters in Fargo? Her timbre makes my penis bulge like a fat wad of money I just robbed from my local drug dealer.

I hate breaking character here, but the fact you've never heard her voice once, ergo you've never heard a Palin speech, ergo you've never been able to process her platforms and what she's about, YET still choose to make a thread about how people shouldn't bitch about her makes it hard for me to support you as my fictional character, because your statements on this board hold no value.

I'm not for the Obama campaign, nor the McCain campaign.

I am for you drinking more beers, killing more animals, and staying away from computers.

There's a bitchin Chinese joint a few miles away. Something tells me you're not a big Indian food fan. You could probably find premium vittles on route whatever over by the CrownE Plaza is... Near that IHOP that makes a hungover metalfest morning suck a little less.

The ARMSBY ABBEY
http://armsbyabbey.com/welcome.html
From the Palladium, walk across the street and take a right. Go straight and it's a few buildings down, before the big church. Some of THE BEST food and craft beers I've ever had. Similar to the Publick House in Brookline, but cheaper, better service, and better food IMO with ingredients all from farms around MA and New England. No, I don't work there or anything.

Places like Wings and Tortilla Sam's are great, but the food is shit compared to this place and you end up spending maybe 5 bucks more but it's so close to the Palladium it's kinda stupid not to go, they serve food till around 1:30am.

awesome, you won't be disappointed, i think it's one of MA's best kept secrets. check out the chalkboard for the draught menu, the beers range from $4 to $8 and up but also contain 6% to 12% percent alcohol and up. and it's not pretentious snobbery like you'd get at the publick house or some place similar. eh, i could go on and on about the place haha

i haven't been to Armsby Abbey yet, it just opened like 2 months ago. i walked by it after the Carcass show and the place was hopping, it looked a bit yuppie though. the guy showed us the beer list and it was huge.

Is that Irish Times place still across the street?? I haven't been there in over a year.

There is a decent pizza place down the street.....and if you feel like driving there is Tortilla Sams

[Sep 19,2008 10:39am - Yeti ""]
yeah Irish Times is still alive and well. Tortilla Sams is only like a 10 minute walk. and its BYOB.

wow, i'm going to have to try Armsby Abbey, you are all about it. are you a Worcesterite? when i walked by it after Carcass i was a little off-put by the yuppieish atmosphere.

why yes i am, born and raised. i agree it does seem yuppieish, actually it's usually full of yuppies but i've been there about 10 times since it's opened and i can say that everybody i've seen/talked to is there to have a good time and the staff is very down to earth and far from snobby, even to a typical metalhead-looking dude like myself. i know the owner (who also runs the craft beer bar near the train station) and he's a younger guy that loves his beer and will chill at the bar for hours. he goes to all the farms and inspects before he buys, he picks all the damn vegetables they use there himself. i don't wanna hype it anymore than i have but if you're into truly good beer and good food that is surprisingly cheap for what you get, you'll like it.

Fuck, I can't remember the name of the place, but there's a place a couple blocks away with wicked good burgers. I ate dinner there years ago with Dimmu Borgir (when they toured with Sammael).
Y'know how people used to goof on them and call them Dummy Burger? They let me take pictures of them sutffing burgers in their faces. You probably had to be there but it was wicked funny. Nick and that australian guy had way better senses of humor than the norwegians

Shocking, that. You should check out my "Norwegian Kings of Comedy" DVD that I don't have because it doesn't exist. For a reason.
