This place was so dirty, the atmosphere was just what the bands needed to absolutely destroy! Raising Kubrick was on first, the best set I have ever seen them play, granted I only saw them 3 times, but they were really good the second time. Sarah's vocals were excellent and the rest of the band was right on. RK is one of those bands where not one specific thing stands out, but all do at various times during the songs. Hirudinea was next, playing their unique style of black/noise/hardcore and they were incredible as usual. Their set seemed relatively short, but I think it was because they took a little long to set up cuz of some technical trouble or something. Bane of Existence played third, but their singer wasn't there due to an illness. I filled in on vocals, I couldn't really hear myself, but I had fun. People told me it sounded good. I had some help from other people at times though. Conifer was 4th, and they were out of their minds! Definately the best set I have ever seen from them. The crowd definately seemed to be of the metalcore persuassion, so I wasn't sure how people would respond to Conifer, but everyone loved them and with good reason. Kevorkian's Angels headlined this extravaganza and even played Eat Shit, which is an old favorite of mine. They really stole the crowd with some of their new songs, and the fan favorite My Inner demons at the very end. Everyone stayed there past 3 am for this and only one dickhead didn't like it, who I saw make jerk-off motions to the very name of Kevorkian's Angels. What do you expect though, NotCommon bands are the most hated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My scarf though, was the true hilight of the evening, as some pictures that will begin surfacing will show. That and Flat Rat, who became a good friend to us all. Shadley and Nick are the greatest duo ever. Josh from Ascenndancy started the first pit I ever saw for Kevorkian's Angels. I sang for Bane of Existence with some help from the crowd. I got a Raising Kubrick shirt. Box of Knives was the best place, I wish I had gone there atleast one other time before it was condemned to death.
