guitar tech question (floyds...)[views:2197][posts:8]________________________________________ [Nov 6,2007 11:32am - My_Dying_Bride ""] anyone ever use a floyd locking nut neck with a hardtail/blocked bridge? im gonna buy a hardtail jackson body and most of the necks im looking at are locking nut floyd style. the locking nuts seem like they have plenty of depth for the string without the top lock piece. i dont know if they make a non locking nut to fit over the locking nut routing space (it would look ugly with a small regular nut in a floyd locking nut space) anyone ever have/played with this scenario, know about other solutions? |

The lockinmg nut will work fine with a hairdtail, just don't tighten the blocks. the only other thing that might be a problem is string height, but a small shim under the locking nut will fix that. |
