[QUOTE="the_reverend:668935"][band=christine]: what a weird band. They had parts that were really sweet and the girl singer sounded like the rainer maria singer, but then they would cut in to heavy southern influenced metal. For sure my first time seeing them, but I hope not the last. Check out the mp3s on their myspace those sort of show the spread of what they do. [band=defcon4]: they took as long to set up than they did to play. Extremely short set. Mostly due to a problem with robin's equipment. Once they did get going, people in the audience got all worked up. Beer cups flying at them. [band=today_is_the_day]: awesome set. Sure derek roddy had only a limited amount of time playing with the band ever and this was basically their first live set together. Always good to start the tour with. There was a small amount of hesitation between a couple of the tracks. Still that dude is a machine and a quick study so it really didn't matter. Watching the group dynamic on stage is always interesting with titd. Steve Austin always comes across on stage as if he's (n the verge of an emotional breakdown. Moments of intense screaming, fevered playing, and then it all crashes down on the stage. They end up on the stage punching their instruments.there was one encore and then a long jam session between chris and derek.[/QUOTE]
