The fact is, with modern velocity sensitive pads, and humanized multi-sample drumkits (like DFH superior, or BFD) it has really reached a point where if you set it up right, there will be NO difference between electric vs. acoustic kit. The other fact is, no matter how you explain it or demonstrate it, there's still always going to be a shit-ton of people who won't believe you.
