| ___________________________________________ [Jul 15,2007 11:32am - thegreatspaldino ""] i know... i understand the concept of playing more songs people would know... its more about nostalgia and stuff than just finding an obscure track (that whoops a ton of ass) and having people be like "... what is this?". with a name like "powerglove" everyone expects stuff they remember and what i have heard has been awesome as well. i mean, that teaser clip of sonic sounds really really amazing, and i hate the sonic games, but i do remember the music and when i first heard the boss battle theme, i sort of wanted to kick something's ass, hop onto a giant container with a huge plunger on it and release cute little woodland critters. (although my only complaint is why blast hornet?! X2 and X3 were really hard to come by compared to X1. also the X1 soundtrack as a whole is way better than 2 and 3... but yeah) |

And Scott is right, we did spend a ridiculous amount of time on just 11 songs, hence why we can't do every cover we want. We also had a poll online, and a bunch of the songs we did were just the highest requested. |

Well, admittedly I haven't heard the Mario thing, but it just seems like most of the stuff they do is fairly common territory, or songs that would lend themselves to the style already. Just my opinion, that's all. |
