Othniel77 said:
Aren't you concerned that venues are being shut down at an alarming rate? Pretty soon there will be no places for bands to play except Legion Halls and VFWs that promoters have to shell out $300-675 to rent.
You're too stupid to understand what's going on around you, so you blame the wrong people, then try to argue your way out of it. Clubs are being shut down because they can't AFFORD to comply with new building codes. They can't afford to comply because they don't make enough money. They don't make enough money because show attendances are lower and lower every year. Partly due to economics, partly due to near-retarded promoters like yourself, and other reasons as well. No where in all this are FIREMEN to blame. The station was a stupid, senseless accident. No, it's not the norm. However, while the CAUSE of the accident was an un-preventable act of stupidity, the fact that the blaze spread in less than FIVE FUCKING MINUTES is something that could have easily been prevented if sprinklers and exits had been up to the new codes. These codes save lives. The fact that your favorite spots can't afford these changes is not the fault of the people making the codes, it's the fault of the economy. All this, because you're too stupid to just say "Know what? I'm an idiot. I apologize, and I'll change the name of this thread and my show."
