deadlikemurf said:
i really could give a shit less what blackwater does in iraq. we're already there so let them go kill people. i did however cringe a bit when he talked about them being deployed in new orleans after katrina. if there is any truth to this guy's report that he spoke with them and that they said the mission was that they were put there to confront and apprehend criminals, that's scary. i don't like at all the fact that there would be a corporate private company army in an american city enforcing law.
It is pretty common knowledge that blackwater is a government contracted military force operating in Iraq & elsewhere. It's not a secret that they're there, the problem is they shouldn't be there. Just like KBR/Halliburton shouldn't be there providing the military with food, water, laundry, fuel, & all the other shit that would normally be jobs of the military itself. KBR charges the U.S. military $28.00 per plate, to feed the troops. That adds up to $4,200,000 just to feed every soldier 1 meal! They've been there for 4yrs, do the math. These private contract companies are run by former pentagon & U.S. government big wigs. It's one big fuckin conflict of interest known as "The Military Industrial Complex". This is what U.S. war is all about. In Vietnam, it was Bell Hellicopter who cashed in on the cluster fuck. 6,000 Hellicopters were bought from Bell by the military during that war, at what price? I don't know, but it wasn't cheap. Bell Hellicopters ceo was a former pentagon based general. It's been happening since WW2. That video is also the 4th different report I've seen of Blackwater operating in New Orleans after Katrina. That is very scary cause it bypasses the militarys inabillity to police it's own people. It's just too bad they didn't care enough to contract a private company, such as KBR/Halliburton to evacuate all the people who were trapped there for 5 fuckin days. If this all sounds new & strange to people, they should go to Google Video & search for these things. Reality can't be found on tv anymore.
