hungtableed said:
Murph said:
So, gay Americans should have a voice and be able to argue with the same freedom from fear for that voice? When that happens, then debate them. But having a government-endorsement that homosexuals are "different" and not entitled to all the same rights as hetero-mericans you have an American hand way stronger than theirs.
where exactly did say I support a "government-endorsement that homosexuals are "different" " - I expressed my opinion on fags. I never said a damned thing about American homos not deserving the same rights as heteros- you my friend are jumping to conclusions. I don't think anyone who is a citizen of this country should be barred any right that is enjoyed by everyone else.
No, I'm just stating fact. Gay people don't have the same rights as heterosexuals. I used the term "government-endorsement" not to mean you personally endorse their treatment nor that you were relying on that for your argument, but that it's a given fact. It just kind of sucks, because you have the right all day to assert your distaste for homosexuals or just their sexual being, but they are fighting not only the norm when they debate, but also a government standard telling them they are wrong. It is unfair. And frankly, I don't hold anyone's beliefs against them. I just feel everyone should be on a fair playing field, and as we are not, its not fair. This was a thread about privatized military groups, but then you made it seem those opposed to it were "less of men" or "lacking testicular fortitude" and that meant gay because those opposing you were exuding a gayness that was "rubbing off on you." The whole thing was just a real juvenile slam to those who were curious and put off by Blackwater.
