Pentagram Appreciation[views:5260][posts:14]_________________________________ [Oct 13,2006 10:26pm - Ryan_M ""] I took a ride to Newbury Comics tonight, and decided to check out Pentagram, as I'd read about them before but never heard their stuff. I bought "Turn to Stone", a compilation of tunes from their first three albums. I'm 22, and have been into metal for about 5 or 6 years now - I'm kicking myself for not listening to this shit sooner. Start arguing. |

Pentagram are the way. didn't it take them something fifteen years to release a single album? fuck, that rules Yeah, I read they started around 1970, released a buttload of demos and singles, then their first full length was released in '85. By far one of the heaviest bands I've yet heard. |

They always had so many comps and best ofs and shit that it was intimidating to pick one out, haha I have the first 3 records now, hard to choose a favorite as they're all awesome |

Plus a some album covers are different and don't have the original release dates printed on them, so for someone like me who wasn't familiar at all with them, it was hard to tell what was a compilation and what wasn't. I'm definitely going to start pursuing more stuff from this band though, I'm already trying to hunt down T-shirts and other merchandise. |

_____________________________ [Oct 15,2006 4:18am - zjd ""] Witchcraft do a pretty great cover of When the Screams Come at the end of their Firewood album that I think I might like more than the original. Seriously, Witchcraft. Check out Witchcraft. |
