We are looking to expand the thrash attack into a five-piece, to increase overall live performance and allow me to concentrate on lead guitar. It was always my intent to replace myself and I think with an ever increasing amount of live performances and opportunities, this will be the perfect time. Until we find the right person, I will continue to multi-task. It's not a matter of being unhappy with the current vocals, but of maximizing efficiency.
What we want are cruel, abrasive, harsh vocals, similar to what I've done on the two demos. We're not really looking for anything too 'core, guttural, Swedish, clean, power metal, or black metal, but there is some growling and snarling involved. I want to be able to literally feel the malevolence from the vocals. Some character, as well as a good frontman!
I will continue to write the lyrics and song concepts, but collaborations in this area will be welcomed as long as they follow the vision and style of the band.
Influences would/should include: Tom Araya, Gerre (Tankard), Schmier, Mille Petrozza, Martin Walkyier, Chuck Schuldiner, Martin van Drunen, early Max Cavalera, early Snake, Cronos, Mike Torrao, Tom Angelripper, and so forth.
This is a serious inquiry for a serious candidate. Musicians involved in other bands are welcome, as long as they can give this band full attention and priority. We have a rehearsal space (about $30/month per person) we share with HATCHET, recording facilities, label interest, etc.
We are based out of the Methuen/Lawrence area, and practice in Haverhill.
You must be 21+ and have viable transportation to gigs, rehearsals, etc. But most of all, we are looking for a purebred thrasher, someone
who loves this music, its energy and its vitality, and wants to be a
part of it. No ironic kids. No addicts. No poseurs.
