yep, I'll be there... I'm hoping it's not raining out cause I'm probably going to sit outside between bands. I'm sick and I don't want to be anywhere near ciggy smoke.

it's not too smokey here... it's smokier than I want, but what ever.

I talked to metal-church-101 earlier in the night and I think he needs to start listening to rttp everyweek. There were so many bands he didn't know. I must corrupt him with new musics.

[band=bloodshed_unreal: 3 guys. A little roboticy with the drums. Actually, the drums make me think of godflesh in the street cleaner era. I'm not really sure what they sounded like cause the sounded changed A LOT during their set.

broken moment: they had that BDM sort of deathcore sound. the first song made me think of screams of erida. The singers voice actually reminded me of the lowell band manifest when he screamed. As they went on, it reminded me a little of some of the newer aborted's metal work. I did kind of get the impression that these guys used to be in a band that sounded like pantera, but the were good death-metaly stuff. Oh and I guess their bassplayer was 17.

hexerei: this is manchester's super nu-metal group. They used to play the bombshelter all the time. Like every weekend for a while. todd will remember them. Musically, they are nu-metal and not my thing at all, but since the last time saw them, they added a guy to do the screaming for them. they also added an eyeball to their stage show. Let me rephraze that. They added a guy in an eye-ball mask, helmet thing and a straightjacket who jumps up and down on the stage and progressively breaks free of the straight jacket that he's in.
one funny thing is that some guys from my work that have gotten into photography and taken pictures of these guys.

I thought another band had been added, but it was the human abstract loading in their backline.

blackout_frenzy: with 4 bands backlining plus BF's gear, there was a lot of crap up on stage. They came out a lot heavier than I remember them before. Sounds like someone's been listening to a lot of chaos AD era metal. So other people even agreed that the vocals have gotten better. The crowd was really into their set and this was the apex of the crowd size. It seemed like 2/3 of the crowd split the second they ended. Their last song went out to "the rev" and RTTP.

human abstract, the: as I said, most of the crowd took a bline towards their home after BF. The one nerdy kid looking kid on the left shredded so hard. He looked like he was going to just pull out the same BTBAM riffs, but nope. They were much different sounding and a lot of parts were played really really fast. I would say they sounded more like necrophagist if you pulled them out. My only complaint was the singing. I didn't really like the singing. Though the singer looked like nickTTOS's brother. They had a wicked lot of energy and played like there was 100 people in the crowd. The only thing that might have showed that they were disappointed was the short set.

I talked with nick (singer of broken moments). super nice dude. I hope I queered up that pickture you took.

autumn offering, the: they warmed up with sweet child of mine in breakdown fashion. I watched johnny hardcore do a little dance for it. Anyhow, first off, I don't really lke their newest CD, but they came out very hard, loud, and heavy. They played with the energy as if 250 kids were in the crowd running around like retards. One of the guys kept shading his eyes to see over the crowd. They ended their set with the song that they have a headbangers video of. matt (HW) came out and sang part of that song.

has the autumn offering put out anything in the last two years? The production and vocals on the last album were not anything special. For them to headline a show must mean that shows are hurting

hell within: they had been a bit bummed with the turn out before getting on stage, but once they got up there, they rocked out hard. more people filtered their way in from next door to check them out. I don't know why the sound guy can't get the sound for all the bands to sound that good. They sounded really good up there. I was watching bubba drumming and he looked like he was working doubly hard up there. I was hoping they were play newer songs that weren't on the last CD. After talking with them, sounds like it's going to be awesome. Must suck to have you eyes focused on new songs and tour on an older CD. by their set, johnny hardcore was pretty lit. he actually did a few dance moves on the floor and hurt his leg.
