Bury Your Dead Put Finishing Touches On New Album, In Stores July 11th Tour With Devildriver in May ‘06 After locking themselves in Florida’s Audiohammer Studios with producer Jason Suecof (God Forbid, Trivium), Bury Your Dead are nearing completion of their new album, tentatively titled “Beauty and the Breakdown”. With the recording completed and mixing about to begin, anticipation for this follow up to 2004’s Cover Your Tracks and 2005’s Alive CD/DVD release has begun. Suecof wasted no words in describing the new album, announcing that “I would just like to say that this is the heaviest fucking album I’ve ever gotten to work on.” Guitarist Slim B spoke for all of Bury Your Dead when he said recently, “As a band, we feel this record is the equivalent to Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. We are excited as hell about this record – Jason challenged us to try new things and pushed us to do some things that may surprise people, while retaining and building on our sound. We can’t wait to get back on the road and start playing live again, but recording has been the best experience possible.” A lot has happened to Bury Your Dead since the release of Cover Your Tracks in October of 2004, from incredible tours to magazine coverage in Revolver, Alternative Press and Outburn. Bury Your Dead were called “Destructive hardcore with blunt, pronounced lyrics and delicious breakdowns…” by Kerrang! Magazine, and spent the summer of 2005 on the most successful metal tour of all time, Ozzfest. A line-up change occurred recently and Bury Your Dead are pleased to announce their new bassist, Aaron Patrick. As a band that made their name as an explosive live act (documented on last years’ Alive CD/DVD, recorded and filmed at Chain Reaction in Orange County), touring is second nature. In May the “Burning Daylight Tour”, Devildriver will headline with Bury Your Dead in direct support, raging across the U.S. with Remembering Never, If Hope Dies and Artimus Pyledriver. All dates will be announced soon. For more information about Bury Your Dead, visit http://www.myspace.com/buryyourdead
