The story is when pantera was a glam band and saw exhorder ...thats when pantera changed thier tune. Granted exhorder is more technical...

I don't think jealousy has anything to do with it. Alot of people just don't like metal that is popular. Damageplan was bad. I never got into Reinventing the Steel, but the other albums are great. Overrated? To some extent. Influenced shitty slam metal bands? Yeah, Sexcrement toasts Dime every hour on pratice nights. You wanna talk about a band whose capitalizing off Pantera, how bout A Perfect Murder. I think what worked for Pantera more than anything was the image, heavy metal out law shit from the south, that's why it worked and that's why they were so marketable, Image. Which is a nobable reason to hate them too.
I want this album though, it would be cool to hear the three of them jamming out shit, minus phil.

Tis true. Phil, being from NOLA, saw Exhorder and became a huge fan. On Vulgar, Phil totally took on Kyle Thomas' style. It doesn't mean Pantera sucks because of that. The lyrics,vocals,and guitar solos kick ass. :doublehorns:
