wasteform: I saw the guitarist that left wasteform outside the club... then I get inside and the other guitarist (the one that stayed before) was not there. I guess they did the old switch-a-roo. Anyhow, they came out and blasted through an awesome set. I swear, these guys get better and better each time I see them. They have a new ep out that I can't wait to get. misery index: I wasn't sure what to expect from them this time. The passed few times I've seen them, they were a little boring, just coming out, playing technically well, but not really rocking out well. With that said, their set was amazing. it sounded so good and they had tops of energy. Matt (the drummer that replaced Kevin) was a machine. I didn't think they could find a person to replace Kevin, but they did it. I need to listen to their new CD a little bit more so I know the new songs. I was singing a lot with every track off the EP. divine empire: this was the band that I really wanted to see. I had missed them 4 years ago when they played. Their set was awesome. I have Redemption and Doomed to Inherit which I believe will be in my cd player for the next few weeks. They set a song out to the backstabbers in the crowd, though I didn't see any of the bsi kids. Check out their site, they actually do have deathmetal watches skinless: at first glance on the stage, there was nothing up there for sherwood to climb on. I knew they were going to have to play sick since there was going to be no climbing. I was so impressed. It's been about a year since I saw them, and they just had that new CD release and all (deathwork, the front line of sanity, from sacrifice to survival). They played a bunch of old tracks to that are some of the "favorites" (the optimist, enslavement, tampon lollipops). With all the time activity on the stage, I forgot to watch John (the drummer) blast away. He was amazing to watch in Origin. dying fetus: 15 songs! It was fucking amazing. Even with all the member changes, dying fetus is still one of my favorite bands to see live. Soooo obvious as the crowd went crazy for all their slow churning break downs. They played so many of my favorite tracks: http://www.returntothepit.com/media.php?id=52792&pic=dying_fetus001.jpg << set list it's hard to pick a favorite. oh wait, no it's not... kill your mother, rape your dog! And what's better than that song live is getting a shout out from Vinnie (the lead singer) after a pissing in the mainstream/kymryd medely.
