_______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 12:54am - BingChlorine ""] Pretty fun show if I do say so myself. Highlights of the night were Upon Crimson Wings (nice, free merch :spineyes, Embludgenment, and of course, the always amazingly brutal Shading The End. |
________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 1:07am - xmikex ""] yeah i was in bolton today. and if i had gone to the show I would have broken 2 of my new show rules: - no going to shows just to see one band - no going to shows if the drive is longer than the time you plan on staying |

________________________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 1:49am - mark fucking richards ""] i had a blast tonight. all the kind words mean a lot to us and put smiles on our faces. so anywho, here's what i gotta say about the show: first off, i walked in the place and it smelled like gas...no good, but air conditioning kicks ass. anywho, i have no clue who the first band was; i think it was just a joke, but i dunno...either way, they were entertaining and such is life: not my bag, i'll leave it at that. but much respect of course upon crimson wings: fuck them, we..uh i mean they...suck....yeah. what the fuck was up with those hats anyway? haha shading the end: wonderful, simply wonderful. i have tried to see them many a time, and finally got to tonight. it's a shame the drummer's leaving, he's goddamn brutal. hope to play more with STE when they have a full line up again. methal orange: my boys from maryland, always entertain. in one word: wacky. the around the body bass swings were rockin' suspension of graces: wasn't sure what to expect from them, but i dug it. good band, good kids, thanks for hooking us up vanderbilt: looking at them, i thought it was gonna be emo-ish but there were no traces of it. not really my style anyway, but i felt the groove, werd embludgeonment: sick sick sick; can't wait to play with these guys again. the guitar work is awesome and the drums aren't in some boring formula like most death metal bands. so all in all it was a good show, pretty good turn out for a thursday night with not too many known bands on the bill, AC was comfortable and there were some cute girls to look at too, haha. |
______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 1:57am - BingChlorine ""] Yup, there were some cute girls. |

________________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 2:01am - xPaulBLAHBLAHx ""] It was a fun show, I showed up just as Upon crimson wings were playing and they were pretty damn good I wasnt really into the recordings but they really surprised me live.I definatly hope to play with these guys again. STE played and yeah this is one of the only times I have to say that i think we played pretty well. I missed the other bands sorry guys, but thanks to mark for setting up an awesome show and the turn out was really good. haha and thanks to rev for taking pictures hope you enjoy your offical STE t shirt..............:NEWHORNS: |
________________________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 2:04am - mark fucking richards ""] yeah, our recordings don't do us much justice. we'll be recording a new EP pretty soon, a lot more pro than the last one. we hope to knock some socks off. hoh hoh! i gotta get me one of them ste shirts when i'm not a broke ass mothahshutyomouth. shaft! shit, i really need to get to bed |

______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 2:30am - the_reverend ""] thumbs up to the venue for having AC thumbs down for the gas leak that made me imagine Final Destination-esque endings for my life. It smelled like my grandmother's house when the pilot goes out. sushi corner: the avocu maki and som mi maki was excellent. I thought I was going to get fod poisoning, but nope. it was tastey and the perfect ammount of wasabi! shaws: your grapes are squishy that rj improv band: it was ok. the drums was a constant break down. the vocals where tuff-like with no one really knowing the "lyrics". and such is life: just basic screamo. think llbnf meets sky came falling. They were a little stiff and need to work out the kinks of being in front of a live audience. upon crimson wings: man, these guys really bring the mosh. Actually, they only have one song with a break down in it, but kids where dancing to EVERY song. It's awesome to go to a hardcore show and see a real metalband. They were wearing these dumb, gleaming the cube hats. it would have been funnier if mr. fucking richards participated, but he's (as remembering never would say) "too cool for school". shading the end: I love the vomit vocals and break downs. these guys are pretty killer. Their old singer came back and sang for one song. though.. how much did he paid for those dreds? they looked $$. Is that the end? did that show even shade the end? no, I'm almost willing to bet not. suspension of grace: much better, more comfortable perforance from tha last time I saw them. they actualy got in to it and all. the crowd seemed to go off for them too. At one point, they did the fata thing and had a girl come out and sing with them. I must say I liked the last 2 songs the best. methal orange: hm... I don't think they did the songs I knew from mp3.com cause there wasn't the slow parts. they came out and hardcore rocked it straight. no real pussy stuff there. vanderbuilt: I was as surprise by these guys as I was when I first saw the evergreen terrace. I'm not sure how to classify them, but I'm think it'l be sort of like norma jean. One of their guitarists went crazy. he was spazing out so bad, i was scared to stand next to him. embludgeonment: yep, the are death-grind with a bit of core still. I'm sticking by that description. they have dual guitarists. I wonder what they would sound like with a bass player.. hm... I hear the girl from the acacia strain is free. |

______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 2:48am - Dave Maggot ""] it was a great show. great bands, awesome crowd. we love all you guys, and ladies. thats right ladies.:shocker: :ralphie: i hope to see everyone again and again. and of course the ladies:shocker: my only complaint is the burning daggers through my eyes headache i have from the gas leak. but besides that everything was exxxcellent. oh yeah! ladies i'm single! :shocker::shocker::spineyes: |
_____________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 3:45am - ucwbass666 ""] i thought the first band was funny. :satancross: the second band i missed most of cuz i was in walgreens or cvs or whatever looking at a huge pair of jugs. :satancross: we played next. those hats were bought at a doller store in souris, prince edward island, canada... for 50 cents each. i bought enough for the whole band and we even got my girlfriend (pink hair) one, but me and dave were the only ones cool enough to wear em..and dave took his off half way through. :satancross: i missed the first half of the next band cuz i was outside talking about boston accents and bottles of piss and fireworks. :satancross: then my ride was leaving so i had to go....and by that i mean my mom didnt feel like waiting in the car any longer. :satancross: then i went to frienlys. i got a steak and it was pretty good. the waitress was lactose intolerant like me. yay. :satancross: then i went home and looked at all the pics. :satancross: then i looked at porno. :satancross: then i beat my meat. :tightiewhities: then i wrote all of this. :satancross: then i went to sleep. :doublehorns: |
_______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 8:57am - Embludgerals ""] thansk for the kdisn words from everyones party, i dug every band on that bill, did any one see thosetwo kdis at the show that name dropped lom ( lords of manchester) whats up with that they werent even large dudes dont they have some sort of wieght limit 250 or over? |

_______________________________________ [Aug 15,2003 10:47am - BingChlorine ""] I honestly had no idea there was a gas leak till I saw someone mention it on this board. No wonder I had a massive fucking headache. I just assumed it was from the kid who practically kicked my head off. |
