I played it with my thumb hooked over the top of the neck... I can't believe I found that easier than using my fingers. So when I got home from his house the first thing I did was ask my dad if I could use his acoustic guitar and I started playing that 5 note riff over and over again. So my dad taught me the opening riff of Over The Hills And Far Away by Zeppelin, just up to the D chord right at the beginning, just a fraction of the whole riff. I got an electric guitar (a Dean Explorer copy) that Christmas and started printing off so much tablature, mostly for Metallica songs but occasionally some Zeppelin and stuff. |
