[QUOTE="the_reverend:270086"]holy late show batman. Mr. Ect. didn't really go one until 10pm. with 5 bands this assured me that I wasn't getting to bed at a reasonable time at all. [band=mr_ect]: I sort of read their myspace bio. I thought it was going to be a little more melodic metal from the description than it actually was. it was sort of a mixture of what I thought it would be (before reading the bio) and what I read on the myspace account. it had in flames parts, but was wrapped overall with tool vocals. not really my bag. I know that they played the song that is on their myspace page. I remembered the title. they also jumped a bunch together 3x. I missed them all cause I had my two "slow" cameras. I'm totally sure that these guys would do well with the lowell band manifest, similar styles in music and I'm sure that manifest's crowd would get into mr ect. [b]falafel sandwich[/b]: the bread and veggies were awesome. the seasoning in the falafel nuggest were really good and distrinct. my only issue is that is was super dry. I think that it would have be better with extra humus. I think that nect time I'm in there, I'm going to ask for extra humus. [band=no_allegiance]: I really had no idea what to except from them. it was pretty damn good. yes, I know that joenc will probably hate them, but it was good stuff. there were a few parts that had some semi-unearth chromatic scales in them. but it was still fun and fresh enough. it was mixed together with a spazziness that left you wondering what was going to happen most of the time. not too many predictable things (besides the scale riffs). the singer was fairly funny in the same way that arrowhead (pillory) is funny.. it's the 1/2 funny funny and 1/2 just "funny" like uncomfortable funny. I'm not sure what the guitarist had that guitar for... he never used the top attachment at all. [band=random_acts_of_violence]: they ruled as usual. lots of energy. I think that ther set got cut a little bit (go figure) cause they had to cut a song. I don't get the "we are RAOV minus one" thing. they played that new song "transfiguration" (as heard on the RTTP comp). the riffs in that song and all theirs are awesome. for some reason, their gang of groupy girls were MIA. they had a bunch of guys in the front row who were banging along to the music. I think the groupies stayed home this time cause of the rain so instead, it was mostly raining men, mostly. [band=a_cold_reality]: this band seems to add different superfluous members each time I see them. this time, it was a new singer and guitarist. I think the last time I saw them it was jon (ex-red shift horizon) singing for them, this time I was someone I didn't know. the guitar player I knew though... dime-freaking-bag-darrel-abott! looks like he pulled through and put on a little weight. anyhow, they played a bunch of songs I didn't know and they they played one extra song after the sound guy tried to clikc them off. it was one of the songs that sounded like they were shadowsfall back when they first started. one of their friends started to dance, but got shut down... hard. [band=tester]: well, I wasn't really a fan of them last time I saw them, but I decided to stay any how and watch them for a bit. their music is like rock-pantera. not really my style and it was after 1am by this point. I'm sure if they played earlier with some "jock" or "frat" bands, the place would have been packed. the good thing is that they played to the 10 people milling about as if they were playing to a packed house which always shows a bands class.[/QUOTE]
