CRYPTOPSY drummer Flo Mounier has released more details about his upcoming instructional drum video which is scheduled for release this summer. The content of this DVD was inspired by comments and suggestions from the many e-mails Flo has received from the public. Mounier's official web site's forum will be used to build up a FAQs section about drumming techniques, gear and other questions related to the drum world. You can also join a mailing list on the web site to be updated on the DVD's status. Overview of the DVD's content: * Warm-ups for practices and shows * Various stretching exercises * Endurance and speed-building exercises * Foot and hand technique * Grind library: Samples of various grind beats used in extreme metal. * Gear and drum setup details * Live footage: Approximately 5 songs from different shows filmed from behind the drums during the Canada 2004 and U.S. 2005 tours * Notations for these songs * Montreal Drumfest 2003 footage: An instrumental medley of new and exclusive material with fellow CRYPTOPSY members followed by a 7-minute drum solo, "Phobophile" (instrumental) and a duet with drummer Ange Curcio. * Soundcheck/solo from the pre-production of the new CRYPTOPSY album at St-Zenon (Wild Studios), recorded in the summer of 2004 * Drum solos * Radio Canada's Adrenaline TV show documentary (in French with English subtitles) * Multiangle content * Photo section * Bonus material As previously reported, a pre-production recording of a new CRYPTOPSY track, entitled "Carrionshine", has been posted online in MP3 format at this location (5 MB). "Carrionshine" is scheduled to appear on the Canadian death metallers' fifth album, which will be recorded over the summer for a late 2005 release via Century Media Records. "Each song has a very unique identity and some of the material is a progression from what you’ve heard from CRYPTOPSY in the past," the band recently said about the new compositions. "The album concept has a very distinct beginning and end."
