John Ritter The Robot - First Show Review[views:2087][posts:12]_________________________________________________ [Feb 6,2005 10:27am - the_taste_of_cigarettes ""] At about 7pm, many folk from the dover area wandered into a house party filled with chips, beer, and Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Enter I, the unbeknownst man into a smokefilled room. As the tuning began, the guitar guitar drums vocals lineup sweat and revealed their inner, more naked selves to the audience, heavily breathed into the pungent odor or the wacky weed. A grueling 4-5 song set, which included, quote, "The gem of the evening", a cover of Joan Jett's "Heartbreaker" (was it Joan Jett? Meh.). This band kicks ass. They do black metal, noise, 80's power rock, a little death metal. For fans of fun and weirdness. Plus the guitar tone was pretty crafty. Features members of Pray For A Plague / Virulency / Akeldama word to your shizzle. |

The emotoin and feeling of the songs, especially the guitar playing is mindblowing. We all just sat there like "wow". A great amount of appreciation is due to you guys for coming up to hang. Your opinion means a lot to us and we're really anxious to see what's next for us. For reference it's Pat Benatar we covered and if there's a next time, a lot tighter version will be displayed. Once again thank you guys for being so amazingly friendly and easy to get along with, as well as hard workers for this debacle called the NE "scene" (I hate that word). Seth |

It's originally a drum machine project with Keenan (DWW) on vocals and drums, an amazing vocalist. I recently assumed vocals when the project became a live thing and gained a guitar player. So we figure we might as well change it to respect the original thing (even though we do songs from the original). But I can pretty much guarantee at some point if we play, some sick dual vocals from me and Keenan. |
