They all went into the pit for the great majority of Suffocation. I stood right behind the soundboard for Suffocation's entire set and had a great view of the pit. I saw several black guys in there, but they didn't look like the type that would've walked in off the street. there was no fubu in evidence. I'll grant the possibility, but the likelihood is slim. Now let me just say that I didn't really pay attention to what was going on onstage or offstage until Suffocation's set. I, at no point, saw any girl or guy getting singled out for abuse in the pit. That's not to say it didn't happen, but none of the 7 of us saw anything like that. The comments from the friends who were in the pit were extremely positive--it was more of an old school pit with no hardcore kicking and I didn't even see one fight break out. |
