___________________________________ [Dec 31,2004 7:46pm - dread_104 ""] it's always sad to watch the downward spiral of great ballplayers as they fade out in their final couple of years. Pedro's halfway there, and i can guarantee you Johnson will be a disappointment, if not ineffectual |

___________________________________ [Jan 1,2005 3:06am - Al Ravage ""] a 42 year old and a guy with a bum arm coming off his worst year....100 million dollars? no... priceless The Yankees are officially as terrible as the Red Sox...they should get Jack Clark and Tom Brunansky...I think the end of the world is nigh for sure |
_______________________________________________ [Jan 1,2005 3:14am - whiskey_weed_and_women ""] hey you leave Tom Brunasky alone, he made the catch back in 92 - 93 that sent us to the playoff where we got swept by the A's |
_______________________________ [Jan 1,2005 8:35am - JayTUS ""] a 42 year old and a guy with a bum arm coming off his worst year....100 million dollars? no... priceless If you are talking about Randy Johnson, you are very misinformed. I am a Sox fan, but the guy is still one of the top 3-5 pitchers in baseball. Don't look at his record when judging how his season was, because his record reflects the team he was on. He still had one of the lowest ERA's and led the majors in strikeouts.... He also has had ZERO arm trouble in his entire career. Just back problems... |

Just back problems... not only that, look at his losses from the last season. most of them were like 1-0 because the rest of the D-Backs suck and couldn't get a run off, so he still maintained a very low ERA. and let's not forget 290 strikeouts for the season |

___________________________________ [Jan 1,2005 9:31pm - BornSoVile ""] Bruno! Jack Claaaaaaaaahrk! Add Mike Greenwell in left field! Randy Johnson is an awesome pitcher. I wish we had him. My favorite Johnson memory was in the All Star game, 93? 94? John Kruk up at bat, Randy throws a wild pitch over his head. Kruk swings on the next two pitches that were high and outside. If Earnhart didn't have the title, I'd call Randy "the Intimidator". |
