Gotta say, i kinda agree with orgy on this one. I love papa ginos steak and chesses. They are wonderful, the bun is almost as chewy as the steak, and oh god, that processed american is EXACTELY what should on that meat. (i know it sounds like i am being sarcastic, but i am not. I love their subs. I don't mind papa's pizza either.) Rednecks-Let me say for the record, I lived in allston for 5years. Only ate rednecks one time. It was aweful. Terrible service, and terrible food. Don't go there, bottom line. Spike's is obviously a good choice, the grasshopper is great vegan times, so is budda's delight on harvard ave. The best steak and cheese in allston by FAR is by la mama's. La mama's 617-783-1661. That's right, from the top of my head. If you want a real treat, call there and order a Large BBQ Steak And Cheese W/Bacon W/Extra cheese Toasted. It's un-frieking-believable. Their pizza is good and notoriously cheap too. Like 8 a large cheese pie. Used to be 6.50 when i first moved there, but inflation. Ya know? First bite pizza on brighton ave has some good sandwhiches too. I used to live in the apartments accross the st. from em, and they would trade me, i would give the cooks some bud, and i would eat for free all the time. Good sandwhiches, ok pizza, great smoothies.
