The rest of my band will definitely be attending, though. Pia is awesome, Laurel and I met her last year when she grabbed us out of the crowd at the Palladium and asked to take our photos in the corridor near the bathrooms. Despite the completely impromptu nature of these pictures, the one she took of Laurel is the best photo ever on our site, and the one she took of me was later blown up and became a cornerstone of her work for over a year. Considering Laurel and I were just a couple of sloppy drunks that night, Pia really deserves some credit. I am most amazed at her ability to see something in us even though she had never met us before. (Pia was also kind enough to do a full photo shoot for us recently, the pictures from that should be up on our site next week. I'll post a link then.) |
