If the answer is "Yes Hoser, I love John Kerry, his really fucking ugly and rich wife, and his incessant flip flopping on every single pertinent issue", please refer to this website for directions on how to deal with your stupidity. http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=manly_suicide |

_____________________________________ [Oct 29,2004 8:48am - RustedAngel ""] the weekly dig published "107 reasons to vote for bush on tuesday." a few are (kind of) funny: 98. Why not? Seriously. Let's see how far he tries to take it. It'll be fun. 97. Bush is the only presidential candidate humble enough to fall off a Segway. 94. When you think about it, a downward spiral is a form of progress. 66. Oil-rich Ivy Leaguers raised by former presidents have a unique understanding of middle-class Americans. 58. We're not saying a Kerry win will necessarily cause a terror attack, but still, something to think about. 49. He doesn't look French. 42. Listen, if the Patriot Act is so unpatriotic, why do they call it the Patriot Act? Duh. 41. He stood up to greedy veterans and their demands for Soviet-style government health care. 40. He refuses to corrupt Africa with condoms. 20. He hates Massachusetts. 16. Dennis Kucinich? Bush's new Secretary of Vaginal Affairs. |

__________________________________ [Oct 29,2004 8:58am - succubus ""] ironically i got an email (at work..weird) from Bush's daughters: Dear Carina, For the last four months, we have had the honor to travel around the country, spreading our Dad's message and the experience has been so rewarding. We have met so many great people - from students to busy moms to military families. We have really had so much fun being on the campaign trail. As you'll see in this video, our dad has a lot of fun too. He's really down-to-earth and he has a great sense of humor. And that definitely comes in handy when you're running for President. We hope you'll enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at the campaign. And we encourage you to pass this on to five other people who'd like to see our dad in some unscripted moments. This election is going to be really close, which means that a lot will depend on how many people actually get out and vote. Thank you so much for your interest in the campaign. Please make sure you vote on November 2nd, and please vote to re-elect our dad, George W. Bush. well go here and you choose the style you want to view the video in http://www.georgewbush.com/OurDad/ |

I can't believe any metalhead would vote for a religious right asshole like Bush. Don't you people remember the 80's at all? I see metal kids today bitching about how hard it is to find good record stores. Ever wonder why? When I have more time I'll type up a history lesson on censorship and how the religous right has fucked with the metal scene over and over again. These are the same assholes who got Bush elected. A vote for anyone in bed with the religious right is a vote against metal. |

I'll also remind you all: 1.) Abortion will NEVER, EVER be illegal again. No matter how hard anybody tries to make it illegal, so feel free to use it as a form of birth control all you want. 2.) May I remind you Democrat Liberals that Tipper Gore (you know, wife of Liberal Democrat Al Gore) led the campaign for censorship in the 80's. 3.) There is no select party for Metalheads. 4.) LISTEN TO THE GOD DAMNED BROADCAST!! And if you would still vote for him after hearing that, explain why you would in an email or something. I'm curious as to why so many of you are predisposed to voting for Kerry. It seems that you all seem to influence one anothers vote, yet so many of you know so little about any of the candidates, the political process, and any of the issues at hand at all. ________________________________________ [Oct 29,2004 10:51am - dugoxistance ""] I've listened to the friggin broadcast. I can see your point and that point in my eyes is that you trust Mark Simone and the media blindly believing that a bunch of those quotes were not taken out of context or edited. All I hear is the soft Baaaa-ing coming out of this thread of yours. Bush has been caught in just as many if not more inconsistencies and even has admitted to being a fuck up. Hey around 9/11 I flip-flopped too. I believed the shovelfuls of garbage I was fed by this administration, why would Kerry be any different? He took stands when he thought he was right in light of the untruths that were given to all of us. He was against some of those things before they happened and after Bush allowed them to happen he, as well as mostly all of them in DC, had no choice but to switch gears to fix things. You first mistake in my opinion was trusting this thing we call media so strongly, especially a fucking website. I don't trust the media. I don't trust politicians. But I really do not trust Bush. Whoever wins we will still be fucked. But with Bush in office again that's the greater of the 2 evils. The sad truth of it all is that we will never know the whole simple truth of any of it. And if I did have to rely on the media to tell me the truth (I sound like a Queensryche song) there is much more anti-Bush shit out there that makes sense than anti-Kerry. And as for your #4 tirad above . . . most rational thinking people (save the upper class) are predisposed to vote for the more right of the candidates. Kerry is less of a shit head than Bush. As far as influence goes, at one time I was influenced by Cannibal Corpse to make music. I don't really like them anymore. Does that make it wrong? Being influenced and influencing others is a basic human trait. It's also logical. If no one was influenced by anything where would we be? That was a poorly thought out and unnecessary comment. Especially when you are here pushing your views and then insulting those that don't agree about their knowledge of the candidates and political process. Way to go. Why don't you verbally browbeat us on a message board into believing in God as well? And, lastly, you have no fucking clue about my beliefs or the beliefs of most of the people on here. Your last comment was ignorant and way out of line. If you are going to post about such things as politics stick with the facts and your own personal opinion about those facts. Don't try to impose your opinions about those who you think disagree with you. 9 times out of 10 you'll be wrong. And by the way, that broadcast made me want Kerry in office even more. |

___________________________________________ [Oct 29,2004 11:11am - BestialOnslaught ""] This fake campaign ad simply shows that the right-wing radio cabal is willing to use the ignorance of their supporters to push their political ends. Very few of the Kerry quotes are contradictory, unless you view them on a very simplistic level, with no attention to the complexity of the issues and the nuances of his words. There's nothing contradictory about first saying (paraphrasing) "Saddam Hussein needed to be disarmed" and then saying "We disarmed him in an inefficient way when we should have been devoting our military resources to other things and fully exhausting diplomatic resources before going to war." There's nothing contradictory about saying "The President reserves the right to attack unilaterally in order to protect the security of the US" and "The President was wrong in this case to exercise his unilateral military rights, for a number of reasons - Iraq was not a direct or immediate security threat, the war would have been fought better with a more multinational force, etc." We live in a VERY grey world with very few things actually being black and white, it's unfortunate that so many dumb hick Americans don't realize this and are willing to vote for a fundamentalist Christian ideologue in the pocket of the energy industry, despite the damage he's done to our economy, our military, our "homeland security" (less money for first responders, our Constitutional rights... It's this stupidity in the Bible belt that makes people buy into foolish stereotypes about "flip flopping" and soundbite politics, and why the Northeast should probably secede and form a nation based on rationality. |
