If they didn't do an MRI you should follow up with your PCP to get one so you can be sure that's actually it and there's nothing else wrong with you. It's really hard to be sure about a pinched nerve, and you could have tissue damage you don't know about. |

They always start you with the weakest of things, mostly due to the general suspicion in in the health care industry of people in pain. You can talk to your doc about it, and tell em that it's honestly not enough. If after that they don't give you something stronger, than you need a new doc. What your dealing with is incredibly painful, and the only reason for giving you such weak meds is distrust. It's bullshit, if you were a middle aged man you would have been given OCs. |

I hate to sound like a broken record, but you need to ask your PCP for some stronger meds - specifically for sleeping. I know that for at least the first couple days your supposed to immobilize yourself, and there are certain muscle relaxants (soma, skelaxin) that are adjuncts to bed rest that they can give you. They'll give you valium (or an equivalent benzo) if you ask for it, and that will definitely help you sleep. |

Im pretty sure it came from all those long ass drives back and fourth to Zircon practice. I was told I would have to do physical therapy for it, in the mean time ive been getting massages done by a pro, and have been doing various stretching. However it doesnt always do the trick. I believe the number one cause is a pinched nerve in the spine from bad posture. |

I still deal with frequent pain issues and other than being offered a disc trim and painkillers...i basically just have to live with it and it is fucking BRUTAL. I have oxycodone,valium, Ibuprofin 800s,soma,and vikes and even all of that shit doesn't work on a bad day especially with the sciatica problems....i'd go to a muthafuckin witchdoctor if it would fix this. |
