I think they were the best next to corpse- yeah their sound was a bit too muddy but they were still phenominal. exhumed: great energy, another case of some very muddy sound but they were great. what a bunch of savages. gore fucking metal. hypocricy:sucked and i dont give a fuck what anyone says. the whole thing was somewhat akin to a watered down dimmu bogir. the whole set was pretty weak-their music did nothing for me despite evoking a great response from the crowd. corpse: legendary. the sound was perfect. the showmanship was perfect- they are truly seasoned professionals. amazing set list, great pit. ps jack owen looks so stoic and odd up there with his chrome dome. dont get me wrong, the guys ill, but his dome piece is kinda strange looking...like a fucked up mellon. |

Roswell 47, and God Is A Lie were the only tracks I was very familiar with. They played some ok sounding stuff, but bleh. Not terrible, but could have been so much better. They were way better when they headlined a couple years ago. Cannibal Corpse was great. I think this was the first time I watched the entire set as well. They played some great songs, and the pit was violent. Good show. |

Vile was very tight and good, but i thought the vocals were lame compared to what Juan did in studio and the set list didnt have enough from stench of the deceased(no terminal existence or persecution) That was my 7th time seeing corpse, and even though they're my all time fav. band i wasnt that thrilled about seeing them beforehand. But like they always do..they blew me away. Their setlist was the best ever, they were intense and that was the best reponse from a metal crowd I have seen for quite sometime. Kudo's to a legendary band that deserves more respect than they sometimes recieve! Great show all around and a great turnout! |

I hadn't heard vile live before and they sounded excellent. exhumed was good enough for me, i had seen them at the met cafe as well and they were better there. hypocrisy really suprised me with their show, i thought they sounded pretty good. cannibal corpse gave me every reason to keep going to their shows. i couldn't believe the way that the entire crowd erupted druing hammer smashed face, that must have been so cool to see from the stage or from the back. totally worth the 18 dollars. |

| __________________________________ [Mar 7,2004 10:20pm - Kalopsia ""] i went to the show last night at the Cricket Club in Irvington, NJ. i hadn't been to a show since the NJ metal fest back in november, so needless to say, i was extremely looking forward to this show. Vile: great band to listen to, though kinda boring to watch. i wasn't too familiar with their work, i had only previously heard a couple of their songs, but they were really tight. awesome sound. i just think they need a little more stage presence Exhumed: wow, not only are these guys scumbags, but they suck too. i have no idea why they weren't the opening band instead of Vile. i only watched like 3 songs, then went to the merch booth and stayed there until their sucky set was over. Hypocrisy: as always, great sound. I really wish they played more older material though. they would have gotten such an amazing response if they playing Osculum Obsenum (however it's spelled). they're new stuff is good, but no where near as fast or brutal as their older shit. overall they were good though Cannibal Corpse: one of my all time favorite bands, and my first time ever seeing them live. in no way, shape, or form was i dissapointed. the sound was incredible, the crowd was incredible, the band was incredible, it was just nothing but awesomeness all around. |
