Final Fantasy II (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)/Zelda II(NES)
Mike Tyson's Punch Out (NES)
Metroid (NES)
Final Fantasy III (SNES)

Those are my top five, not counting arcade games or nostalgic Atari picks (someone else remembers Joust, yes!). I also was reminded in this thread how awesome Chrono Trigger was, but if I start listing more than a top 5, I won't be able to stop.

I remember a couple weird games I use to have that were a lot of fun. Anyone ever have "A Boy and his Blob" for NES?

Also, there was a game on Atari where you were this guy and you'd go to different planets; you weren't a spaceman with a helmet or anything, just this dark skinned guy. I can't even remember what it was called, and I've been trying to figure out the name of this game for a long time so I can find it... anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

I have "A Boy and his Blob" for NES, the Atari game you mention is familiar. I will search my archives. Which Atari system was it for? I'm thinking "Planet Patrol" but maybe not.

3. Doom 64 - Nintendo 64
4. Final Fight - Arcade
5. Ultima: The False Prophet - Super Nintendo

also, that list is totally bogus.

mainly because there isnt Tetris, Symphony of the Night, Legend of Zelda (SNES), Intelligent Qube, or Uniracers on the list. (all of which are infinitely better and more enjoyable than the games you listed)

NO, YOUR LIST SUCKS DUDE.:moe: Ultima > Zelda:point: Qix (not even on my list) is still > Tetris or Int. Qube:point::point: Final Fight (I was gonna say Double Dragon but FF just took DD like 5 steps better) needs no explanation. Ninja Gaiden holds up against any x360 game so far.

Time pilot '84?:bow::bow::bow::bow: so much for that.

I did make a mistake though. Instead of Doom 64 I really meant
PAC-MAN:nuke::cd::ralphie:

Mrs. Pacman pwns Pacman into oblivion IMHO.

I had the kind of Atari that if you turned it on without a game in it, it would show a blue screen with a cursor and let you program in Basic.

3 Wario Ware for GC (retardedly fun - make up drinking games to play with it! Best 4 player game ever)
4 Super Mario Go-Kart - SNES
5 Mortal Combat 2 - SNES

For 100 lives on contra isn't the code

up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, select, start

Its been about 15 years since I played Contra

Thanks, I appreciate it. I wish I knew the model number of the Atari system I had when I was a kid so you'd have that to go on, I hope the description I gave will be sufficient...

It will bug me until the end of my days. I am an absolute videogame freak. If I get the ROM I'll send it to you. Did you have the original Atari 2600?
