_______________________________________ [Mar 28,2009 10:54pm - the_reverend ""] blood stained brindle: watching them set up was more of a spectacle then the usual band. They had an accordian player! The set was awesome. These guys practiced a lot before coming out and it really does show in the ease that they have playing their songs. Plus seeing wet boy irl for the first time in over a year ruled. They reminded me of the brusiers with a southy twist (not in a dkm way). I picked the exact correct momment to cross over to the other side of the room. Their second to last song had a guest singer and pretty much blew the room up. I got carried away with pictures of beers and bottles flying every where. When the crowd receeded from the stage, the floor was left drenched with beer. At points it was litterally raining beer. The stage was pretty wet too with broken bottles, broken pint glasses, and crushed pabst cans. I thought that would end their set (the bounces looked worried and the mics were all molested on stage), but then they did anyother sing along. |
_______________________________________ [Mar 28,2009 11:38pm - the_reverend ""] 26 beers: I've been listening to their new CD a bunch so it's about time to see them live. There was no flashy splashy beers. This band advocates beer consumption and the awful inconvenient truth of beer waste that is rampant in this country. Every beer you waste means that 5 penguins will die. I was almost unable to stand on the floor for most of their set cause of the mosh that was super sized. At points there was almost no place safe. I really fear for my life when the pinkerton thugs step up to bat. That is if the people up front for 26 beers come back. |
______________________________________ [Mar 29,2009 2:22am - the_reverend ""] the pinkerton thugs were good, but man.. every member of that band is 5' tall. |
