I guess I might have been too. But as an example of what this movie meant to the general public let me offer this: I had to go see this movie at the Randolph Cinemas which I didn't want to do because Randolph is always a zoo full of rowdy teenagers, and ...well....black people (who just can't shut up during a movie). Everybody started off as expected, yelling shit at the screen, talking, making cell phone calls, acting stupid. But 45 minutes into that movie nobody had a thing to say. Everyone sat down, shut up, and watched the movie. I don't think I've ever seen that happen on a Friday night in Randolph. I think that speaks volumes about this movie's appeal. |

Like I said, it didn't feel like video game movie. and for the record, some the review is necessary as is most backstories in all movies. The soundtrack was amazing. | ______________________________________ [Apr 23,2006 4:00pm - the_reverend ""] xmikex's review was perfect. some force dialog, but good none the less. the movie was awesome. the only couple things were 1) some of the cut aways from the kid running were too limited in view. they should have beem POV from the mom. 2) the cop broke the first rule of RE/SH, emptying a clip into a beasty is the best way to get dead fast. shoot them twice and see if they drop cause you'll never have enough ammo. 3) the ending was lame IMHO I'm going to have to get SH2 and play it now. | _________________________________________ [Apr 23,2006 4:07pm - BaptizedInResin ""] i would imagine you deffinately had to be familiar with at least the first game to really enjoy this movie, and i fully enjoyed it. alot of the acting was pretty bad, but this bothered me less when i read spaldinos comment, cuz the games voice acting was really shitty as well, but it worked. i was a little surprised at some of the gore, i expected it to be a tame r rating for some reason, which it still kinda was. also, am i the only one who thought the majority of the computer effects were pretty shitty and fake looking? overall tho, very sick, ill probably pick it up when its released |

| _________________________________________ [Apr 23,2006 10:24pm - DomesticTerror ""] only 2 things i didn't care for. the acting, but i'm a horror fan, so i'm used to it. i'd be a lot more pissed if it had jennifer aniston in it. the only thing that really bothered me was the father scenes. all of them. completely unnecessary. visually this movie was spectacular. and in terms of visual concepts, this could be the greatest horror movie since Hellraiser I and II. in all of the darkness scenes i had a hard on the size of clive barker. if this movie had a scene with some skinless person dripping blood on a white wall, i woulda sworn it was a barker flick. if you like clive barker, go see this movie. if you like dumb shit, go rent jeepers creepers |
