_____________________________ [Sep 12,2010 7:18am - :D ""] What exactly happened with Swallow The Sun's bassist? One minute he's playing, the next minute he's headbanging shirtless. |

Doesn't seem like the Palladium's style to be ya know...nice. LOL Seems like they've gotten better of late, I remember them being easily the douchiest venue around for a long time. I was really impressed by Orphaned Land last night, amazing band. Katatonia was great too but sometimes I feel their music doesn't really translate in a live setting for some reason. I really like the last two albums so the setlist was cool with me. I would love to hear Criminals off Viva Emptiness but I don't know if they play that song live or not. |
______________________________ [Sep 12,2010 11:00am - pam ""] I loved the set list, but that's probably because I like all their albums so I don't care which one they pull songs from. I agree that some songs don't translate as good live though, still great...but I hear ya. |
_______________________________________ [Sep 12,2010 11:13am - the_reverend ""] live, i wuld rather they play heavier songs. on CD, i would rather listen to lighter musc. when they play the lighter side live, it sounds to music like pink floyd, but WHERE'S THE FRIGGIN LAZER SHOW! I feel the same exact way about paradise lost too, but not dream theater. with orphaned land, im disappointed with myself for not going into the crowd. their music is rich and as dandy rarsh put it "over the top". that's what i love about it. while working on the pictures, i watched a bunch of videos. ruled. nice guys too. my one complaint is that they have so much going on with their recordings, but live, they have no female vocals and no synths. i would have like to have heard them with a synth player instead of a computer. I hope they come back on a paganfest and play downstairs or upstairs with crowd surfers. |
