Sound problems aside, I was quite happy with Useful Idiot's set despite the fact that we haven't practiced together in nearly a month. I had an unfortunate blood sugar issue (type 1 diabetic) so I missed most of Suicide Dream's set, but it sounded great from outside. Dreaded Silence kicked major ass, and from what I heard, Justice Hill was pretty good.

Great night overall.

this show was a lot of fun. i had to leave early to pick my daughter up but, as luck would have it, useful idiot opened with my favorite tool song. they were every bit as good as advertised. i've heard many times that the singer does a spot-on maynard and i agree. suicide dream was great too. they have a pretty unique style, so it was great to play with them again after not seeing them for a while. unfortunately, i couldn't stay for justice hill.

This was a fun night, Useful Idiot was solid as always, and it was good to see Dreaded Silence again, especially with the unexpected surprise of Chris (ex-Accursed) as their new drummer, I especially enjoyed Heaven and Hell and Crystal Mountain, the latter of which I definitely wasn't expecting. I didn't get to stick around for Justice Hill - somehow I still didn't manage to get home until well after 2 am though.

Hopefully the venue will be able to replace some of its cords soon, they definitely have at least one bad cable in their PA system. Our keyboard kept cutting out as it did the last time we played there, and while the sound guy speculated it was a bad cable to his direct box, I noticed during other sets as well as our set that occasinally the guitar would also momentarily cut out on the fronts and then pop right back in again, which suggests there's more of a problem over there.
