I mean this with respect, but why is that the correct answer?
In namesake yeah it's a nice name to put on the list of credits to your band, but really a building's just a place.
Also you are playing upstairs - not like it's downstairs opening for your idols in front of 1000+ people.
It should matter more that you can give your friends/fans affordable tickets You could have done this in a similar size venue way cheaper.
Also I think CD releases should be close to home and I believe this band is out of greater Boston, nothern MA?
Why not host it at Anchors Up or Harpers Ferry or The Middle East?
It's cool to play a big venue and all, but not when it's coming at the cost of the fans of your band and making a ticket cost what a national show does.
Just my opinion on the subject though and I do hope the show has a good turnout and goes well for you.
I just don't really understand the reasoning I guess to doing this.

Tammany would have been the best option for you guys. Thats where we are doing our cd release party and have very limited overhead. all tix are sold at the door for under 10.00 bucks and they have one of the best sound systems/soundguys in the state.

And all very good points Rich, and believe me we have much respect for Josh, Mike, and everyone at Anchor's Up/Welfare Records. We're from Haverhill, and played there back in July with Unearth and FBC. This was just the best presented option for us.

Passed out 400 flyers at the Cro-Mags show last Monday night. I already have well over 1000 out there between Manchester, NH./Worcester, MA./Revere, MA. & Salem, NH. We'll see what happens. I've sold all of my tickets and I know several people who gut tickets at F.Y.E.

Its Hard No. 9's cd release. Gonna be a party and a half. Scaphism's cd release party is basically gonna cover the month February. Madd shows yo.
