I've been reading a lot of threads about "blackmetal"-lady, and pondering. Alot of people bitch about shady promoters, is there any evdience that Leigh is shady? I'm not saying she doesn't suck, but at least if she's true to her word about paying bands and what not, at least book a show with her first.
I'm kinda sick of hyporcritical shit in this area. I hear alot of bitching about shadyness(not paying bands, not supporting bands etc.) but when unshady people show up god forbid.
If ONE person can show me an example about her being dyrsticive to the New England Metal Scene, other then being lame, then show me, and I'll agree with the hatred. But if she's true to her word about paying bands and other shit, then shut up about it.

Bands like ours, you know, who play because we love it even though we get paid like shit, duped by scumbag promoters and essentially take it up the ass pouring ten times more money into the "biz" than we get back out of it, we're "Hobby Rockers." Yeah, after 18 years of busting my ass playing shit shows in basements I finally sign a record contract, put out a CD and get asked to go on tour with a band featuring ex-members of Overkill, touring with Destruction and Vader. It's all a pipe dream I guess. I might as well hang it up.

Pam is a friend of mine. None of the other guys in the band even know her.
Also, Leigh was one of the better promoters we've dealt with, and the only one to give us some cash so we could get dinner before the show. We took a chance playing ME on a Monday night being a Boston band and it went over really really well.
Everyone on this board comes across as a bunch of cunts. Myself included. Yay internet fighting.

This has nothing to do with promotion, so cut the shit. Your defense is a diversionary tactic that's going nowhere, sorry. This is about someone (Leigh) lying about someone else (RAOV dudes) saying something about someone (Pam.) Someone gets called a cunt on this board every 13 seconds, it's not that big a fucking deal, the problem is that she's representing people that she has no business speaking for, and lying to boot. THAT is the issue. I've never played one of her shows, probably never will since my "hobby rocker" band may not draw well in the middle of fucking nowhere'sville or fuck-yer-cousinland Maine. Seriously, though. Maybe it's a manifestation of my graduating from college and not having all sorts of time to sit in front of a computer, but I don't really post here anymore. I'm not pretending that I was ever a trailblazer or really that entertaining. Regardless, I did used to post quite a bit because this place was fun.
