I disagree with this for a few reasons, bands who are on tour here for the first time would have had very few ways to get their music out to the people here and that shouldn't be held against them. Newer bands or bands who are younger and their fans cannot get into 21+ clubs shouldn't be penalized either. Obviously on an all local show, the band who draws the most should get paid the most, but on a tour date for a band new to MA they should be paid appropriately for making the trek out here and newer and younger bands should get a little something as well. |
