Why is that so hard for some people to understand? because thats not exactly what teh word means. whatever YOU want it to mean doesnt change the power and hatred, and more importantly, the history behind that word. its a hurtful hateful word in any context. if i just started calling people niggers, but wanted it to mean something else, you wouldn't expect people to look to kindly on it? i know words are only words, and i wish it wasnt an issue, because i do think that it should be the meaning behind everythign that counts. but the fact is you cant always predict how people are going to react and as a human being i feel like you should be responsible and conscious for what you do and say, even if people misinterpret it. |
